Photo Tuesday Lecture
February 18th, 2014, 7:00PM
Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center
In her lecture, Anchorage-based photographer Ash Adams will discuss some of her recent work on babies and the women who make them. Adams has an educational background in both fine art photography and photojournalism, and she finds a marriage between the two in photographing births, newborns, and pregnancy. Her photographs are in part conceptual images, but there is a documentary and story-telling aspect to photographing the last moments of pregnancy and the first of life, due in large part to importance of time inherent within.
